THREE CENTRAL PRACTICES
Servant leadership, as we teach it, is integrated through three central practices embodied in our daily living:
1. Prayer and the Practice of Presence: Communion
Commitment to some regular, transformative, centering practice, and the intention (increasingly) to live prayer in the daily activities of our life, present to the moment and present to God. Presence
2. Awakening the Intelligence of the Heart: Compassion
Confessing our own humanity, acknowledging our heart connection with all who share the human condition, respecting the sacred dignity of every human being we encounter, and (increasingly) serving as instruments of divine compassion in the world. Awakened Heart
3. Alignment with Divine Power and Purpose: Co-creation
Shifting our inner power base in the pattern and power of Jesus, the servant leader, aligning our life with God’s Dream and God’s particular “call” for us, engaging with others in a spirit of collaboration, and (increasingly) serving as co-creative instruments of divine power and divine purpose in the world.
