“Jesus is proposing a total meltdown and recasting of human consciousness, bursting through the tiny acorn-selfhood that we arrived on the planet with into the oak tree of our fully realized personhood. Jesus pushes us toward it, teases us, taunts us, encourages us, and ultimately walks us there.”
― Cynthia Bourgeault, The Wisdom Jesus: Transforming Heart and Mind – A New Perspective on Christ and His Message

Dear Friends,

For 23 years, The Servant Leadership School has provided inspiration, wisdom and companionship for spiritual pilgrims who sense a call to new meaning and service in their lives. We envision a world transformed by God’s love for all of creation, and we believe that servant leadership is one way to help co-create that world with God and with one another.

We offer extended courses, half day workshops, major conferences and clearness committees, as well as a variety of opportunities to engage in spiritual practices in community. We also house “The Sacred Garden Bookstore,” which carries all resources needed for any of our offerings and for your own study and enjoyment.

Our students vary in age and faith backgrounds, and our teachers are drawn from the community and represent a wide range of training and experience in spiritual formation and practice. Some people are church goers, and some are not. What everyone shares is a deep desire to know God and to make God known in daily life.

Please use this guide to learn about our classes, workshops and gatherings, and please contact us if you are drawn to this possibility but need to know more in order to respond.

Yours in Christ,

The Revs. Timothy Patterson, Susan Sherard and
Ruth D. Anderson, Ph.D., Director
